As Simon’s big sister, I had the privilege of a constant companion, 
 
confidante and co-conspirator; a bond that stretched from our 
 
beginnings and endured despite the inevitable divergence of our paths 
 
into separate senior schools and then adulthood.
 
I have countless anecdotes arising from the grazed knees of our 
 
formative years and our shared love of music, film, absurdist comedy 
 
and satire that will make no sense at all to anyone else, which I must 
 
now reluctantly archive into past tense but will always treasure. 
 
It is evident from Simon’s Memorial Page just how many people were 
 
enriched by knowing him and I feel so proud of his charitable legacy 
 
fund, which is being collected to benefit the superb medics that treated 
 
him over many years at Bart’s hospital. The Tributes there are 
 
heart-warming and make me look forward to sharing more stories 
 
whenever a traditional Memorial Event with real people becomes 
 
possible. But for today, this remote message of love and shared loss 
 
must suffice. Whilst I wish it hadn’t come so soon, Simon has surely 
 
earned his rest. How we will miss him.
