North Middx Hospital - April 1973 - By Uncle John

A simple but enduring memory for me was a day or two after Simon was born (I would have been 10).

I recall sitting in the family's classic car (Blue Mk II Ford Cortina 😄) with my younger brother Paul waiting outside of North Middlesex Hospital in London N18, it was a beautiful sunny Spring day - my Mum, (Simon's Grandmother), had gone in to the Maternity Ward to see the "new arrival", My brother and I were not privileged to go in with her, but I do recall the excitement of having a nephew for the first time and very much looking forward to seeing him.

A Music anecdote - The Cortina was lacking a radio, but if it had, no doubt the number 1 of that time may well have been playing on it - "Get Down by Gilbert O'Sullivan". 🥴
